Enrichment is a vital part of your learning at North Bristol Post 16 Centre. It encourages you to broaden your horizons, develop new skills and con-tributes to your personal and social development. We hope that you will want to involve yourself in many areas beyond your academic subjects, so we have created this booklet to show you the range of activities avail-able to you as a student at NBP16C.
As a reward for participating in enrichment, you will receive points for each activity you do. These are divided into three categories; Creativity, Action and Service (CAS). As you earn more and more points, you work towards attaining NBP16C enrichment awards:
Bronze: 500 points
Sliver: 1000 points
Gold: 2000 points
Creativity: Activities which allow you to develop your creative skills such as Arts Award, Drama, Music and reading groups.
Action: Challenging physical activities like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, sports team participation or Rucksack Club.
Service: Activities which benefit you and your community such as volunteering, mentoring younger students or being on the school council.
For every activity, there are members of staff whom you can contact for more information about how to get involved.
If you have any questions about enrichment in general, contact:
Ms Webb-Dickin at the Cotham learning community and Ms Daniel at the Redland Green learning community. They will also be able to give you a copy of the enrichment booklet.
