The Student View

I joined the North Bristol Post 16 Centre from Fairfield School. I made the right decision because this is a sixth form where the teachers inspire you to excel, where the support you need is reassuringly given, and the centre literally becomes anything you want it to be! One of the great things I enjoy about the centre is that it gives you the great opportunity and chance to socialise with lots of unique individuals and also to have a balanced style of learning over the two sites.

The centre has a lot to offer its students and you really can develop your abilities and your aspirations. You get as much out as you put in. This goes for work as well as for your social life, and it also means that you need to be prepared to give your views and ideas. We are the first school sixth form to be affiliated to the National Union of Students so we have a strong voice - be ready to make yours heard!

Hello I'm Cait and welcome to the North Bristol Post 16 Centre. I chose to study my A levels here because I wanted a big change. I went to Brislington Enterprise College and although I was very happy there I wanted to go to a dedicated sixth form centre where I would be treated as an adult. At Cotham and Redland Green I have found myself able to take on new tasks and have been given new responsibilities but I've also found the right level of support from my teachers and tutor. I've made a lot of new friends from a variety of backgrounds, whilst having fun and learning a great deal. The hard work is definitely worth it!
