Minimum requirement for entry onto the course

 NBP16C level 3 entry requirement. Four GCSE’s grade 4 or equivalent.

Why should I follow this course? 

This is a ONE year course, equivalent to 3 GCSE passes at grade C or above.

You will learn about the importance of businesses, how they operate and look into the financial aspects of running a business. You will gain skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life. The emphasis is on applied learning and assessment. If you are good at coursework and are a good team player then this is the course for you.

What learning and teaching methods will be used?

Teacher-led activities, individual and group work, presentations, debates, role-play and simulations and the comprehensive use of ICT. There is a focus on developing real world insights into businesses which may be supported by guest speakers and company visits.

What can I do with my qualification?

When you have successfully completed this course you may progress to either AS courses at the centre or elsewhere, or to BTEC Level 3 courses. For AS courses at this centre you will need to achieve a merit in your level 2 course. This course is also excellent preparation for employment or training, especially in business.
