Why should I follow this course?
Photography is a way of exploring, recording and analysing the visual world. As an endorsement of art and design the course encourages creativity, experimentation and the realisation of ideas and investigations. Photography is a practical course that requires students to demonstrate independence and initiative.

What teaching and learning methods will be used?
Practical core skills in black and white processes and digital techniques are taught through workshops. Student presentations on critical and contextual studies form an important part of the course, as do group discussions and individual tutorials, and visits to galleries and museums.
What can I do when I have my qualification?
A level photography can lead to foundation courses in photography or art (with a media pathway) or directly to degree and HND programmes at university or college.
What minimum qualification will I need?
NBP16C level 3 entry requirement and evidence of ability in the art and design sector, such as grade C in GCSE art or a similar vocational qualification.
