Why should I follow this course?

This is a ONE year course, equivalent to 4 GCSE passes at grade C or above. You will learn about the importance of businesses, how they operate and you will look into the financial aspects of running a business. You will gain skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life. The emphasis is on applied learning and assessment. If you like work experience, are good at coursework and are a good team player then this is the course for you.

What teaching and learning methods will be used?

The course is practical with a mixture of teacher-led activities, guest speakers, visits to local businesses and work experience.

What can I do when I have my qualification?

When you have successfully completed this course you may progress to either AS courses at the centre or elsewhere, or to BTEC national courses. For AS courses at this centre you will need to achieve a merit in your level 2 course. This course is also excellent preparation for employment or training, especially in business.

What minimum qualification will I need?

Four GCSE passes grade D or the equivalent.
