Why should I follow this course?
You should choose this course if you want to learn computer programming and further your understanding of how computers work. You are likely to have aspirations to study computer science at university or to enter employment within the IT sector. The course will give you the opportunity to learn about the components of a computer system, procedural programming and languages, data types and structures, problemsolving, and advanced computing theory.

What teaching and learning methods will be used?
A large variety of teaching methods will be used including teacher-led introduction activities, group collaborative work to work through the finer details of a task, and individual work to complete pieces of assessment material. Group presentations and investigations are undertaken during the theory aspects of the course.
What can I do when I have my qualification?
With this qualification you could continue to further education or find employment in the IT or associated sectors.
What minimum qualification will I need?
NBP16C level 3 entry requirement.
