Why should I follow this course?

Close reading of a variety of literary texts will encourage you to think deeply about yourself, your relationships with others and the way the world about you has developed and changed. A2 will build on the experience of reading texts covered at AS level which are from various periods of time.

What teaching and learning methods will be used?

You will experience a variety of teaching methods, from lectures to whole group discussions, small group work, individual research and seminars. The department runs trips to the theatre and to readings given by writers. There is also the opportunity to spend a week in Devon with professional writers.

What can I do when I have my qualification?

This highly respected A level shows you can communicate well and think clearly. It is accepted for most degree course and valued by many employers, including those in  the media industry, public relations, theatre arts and business.

What minimum qualification will I need?

NBP16C level 3 entry requirement, including C in English literature.
