Why should I follow this course?

Does the universe show evidence of design? Where does evil come from? Is an action always good if it leads to good consequences? Is it acceptable to kill in times of war? Is sex a moral issue? If you are interested in philosophical and ethical questions and want to enhance your moral, cultural and spiritual education, as well as your communication skills, this subject is for you. You will question whether the principles on which religion is based fit with the rest of our knowledge of the universe and undertake an in-depth study of one aspect of philosophy or ethics through coursework.

You will experience a range of teaching methods, including presentations, group activities, visits, research, lectures and attending conferences.

What can I do when I have my qualification?

You will have access to a range of career and higher education opportunities because of the transferable skills you will develop (ability to research, analyse and evaluate arguments). These skills are valued in all aspects of law, humanities and science careers, including journalism, media and current affairs related roles.
