Year 12 and Year 13 Trip to Rome
Recently some of our Year 12 and Year 13 students taking A level Ancient History and Classical Civilisations visited Rome for a long weekend.

The students stayed right in the centre of the city, within fairly short walks of all the major sites. Students complemented their study of Ancient Rome and Classical Sculpture by visiting a number of sites including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Mausoleums of Augustus and Hadrian and the Capitoline Museum.

Plenty of pizzas were eaten and the weather was mostly very good. It was a thoroughly enjoyable few days and the students' thoughtful and intelligent responses and questions, as well as their mature behaviour, made it a real pleasure for the accompanying staff as well.
