Business BTEC Level 2

Why should I study this course?

This is a one year course and you will learn about the importance of businesses, how they operate and look into the financial aspects of running a business.  You will gain skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life. The emphasis is on applied learning and assessment.  If you are good at coursework and are a good team player then this is the course for you.

What will I learn?

It covers a broad range of business topics, from business finance to marketing. Each topic will be taught in a real business context, and you will study and investigate local and national businesses.

How will I learn?

The course is practical with a mixture of teacher-led activities. The majority of the course will be developing your skills of working independently through coursework.

What can I do with my qualification?

When you have successfully completed this course you may progress to either A level courses at the centre or elsewhere, or to BTEC Level 3 courses.  For Level 3 progression you will need to achieve a MM in this course. This course is also excellent preparation for employment or training, especially in business.
