Tuesday 14 July 2026 Term Six at Cotham Post 16 As we reach the end of another jam-packed and exciting year at Cotham Post 16, it's a real pleasure to look back on what has been a truly memorable summer. Our students continue to impress us not just with their academic commitment butwith their energy, creativity and boundless community spirit; this term has been no exception. From exam halls to parade routes, palace grounds to plant pots, it has been a pretty special end to another great academic year.

Friday 22 May 2026 Term Five at Cotham Post 16 As Term Five draws to a close, we reflect on another busy, and smile-filled few weeks that (despite the chaotic weather) have captured everything we love about North Bristol Post 16: the talent, the creativity, the resilience, and above all, the community spirit that makes this place special. This term marked a heartfelt goodbye to our Year 13 and Foundation students. Year 13 celebrated the end of their Post 16 journey with a lively and moving Leavers' Assembly: an afternoon of live music, student-made films full of in-jokes and memories, and a host of awards and speeches that reflected just how far each of them has come. It was, as ever, a moment filled with equal measures of laughter and pride. Year 13s have since been doing the rounds, saying their goodbyes to staff who've supported them throughout their time with us.

Thursday 2 April 2026 Term Four at Cotham Post 16 This term has been as full and vibrant as ever, and there's no better symbol of that than the fresh growth now appearing in our outdoor wellbeing space. Seedlings are in, planters are coming along beautifully, and students have been getting their hands in the soil; a timely reminder that, even in the thick of exam season, there is always something worth nurturing. We look forward to enjoying some home-grown fruit and vegetables before the summer break!

From charitable work in the community to progressing through to national finals, our students continue to inspire us with their commitment, creativity and compassion.

Thursday 18 December 2025 Term Two at Cotham Post 16 Term two at Cotham Post 16 has been packed with student achievement and activity. Congratulations to Asma who completed a work experience placement with British Geological Survey, who are developing a character-driven online interactive challenge for young people. Asma designed and developed some characters during her placement and has now been asked to stay on board with the project to see her designs to completion, as well as receiving a financial award from the organisation for her hard work. Congratulations also to the fabulous Agnes who provided invaluable support for the Cue Theatre Company Winter Performance. The director, Beth, could not stop singing Agnes' praises for the professionalism, good humour and creativity shown throughout.

Thursday 23 October 2025 Term One at Cotham Post 16 It has been such a busy term at Cotham Post 16 and we have to start this round-up by congratulating our incredible Year 12 students on an exceptional first term at NBP16. The step up from GCSE learning is not an easy one, but this cohort has given their all to embracing the independence and ambition of our community and is feeling very much at home already. Their enthusiasm through induction and engagement with student lunchtime mixers has been fantastic. So has been their dynamic engagement for our new weekly vote to decide Friday's walkout tune on Charnwood FM - a surprising love of retro classics so far!

Wednesday 16 July 2025 Term Six at Cotham Post 16 This term has been notable for many things, not just days that seem to have contained four seasons worth of weather in one. Despite this, it has been a boost for students and staff to see Spring arrive and for the first flowers to be rising from our outdoor wellbeing space. We look forward to planting seedlings next term and hopefully benefitting from some home grown fruit and vegetable before the summer break.

The inspection team picked up on some of the many things that make our Post 16 community shine; we continue to be as proud as ever of the staff and students who make this place so special.
